The Sigulda Hospital is located very centrally in Sigulda – one of the most beautiful cities of Latvia. For it’s beauty Sigulda is frequently referred to as “Latvia’s Switzerland.” Kilometers of nature trails in Gauja river National park are literally at your fingertips when you look from the Sigulda Hospital. Walking is beautiful there all year round.
In the winter, Sigulda turns into a sports center with its own bobsled and luge track (one of 17 in the world). Athletes from all over the world train at the track, which also hosts annual international races. Sigulda has several skiing centers – both for cross-country skiing and for downhill skiing. In the spring and summer Sigulda is a magical place for hiking, biking, and boating, but in the fall people from all over the country come to see the leaves turn colors. Sigulda is also home to various well – preserved historical sites and ancient legends that offer insight into our collective past.
